Episode 107 – Gotta Start Somewhere

168695_137455722982172_899573_n19nb_the_rookieHello again, listeners!  Finally, we’re coming to from our home base in Columbus, OH once again!  And what better way to wrap up our journey by seeing Neil Henderson and Nathan Rourke to the end of theirs as well?  That’s right, tonight marks the end of the first season of ‘Our Fair City‘, with Episode 13, “The Climax?!” and the season Epilogue, “The Wind From The West”.  Our Hartlife friends shouldn’t fear, however — there are many more seasons to be heard, and we hope to bring you some more in the future!

After that, we have another visit from 19 Nocturne Bouelvard with an award winning tale, complete with competitive serial killers and a rookie who’s trying to work his way into the business.  It’s called “The Rookie“, and we think you’ll enjoy it!

And writers, don’t forget to check out our events page for more competitions to apply to, as well as live events listeners might be interested in.  We hope to do another round of updating to our list soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

Episode 106 – Looking For You

danatemp700168695_137455722982172_899573_nHello listeners!  A Happy Valentine’s Day to those who celebrate, and a Happy-Chocolate-Sale Day to those that don’t.  Tonight we pulled together a little something fro the holiday; first up we have more from Hartlife’s Our Fair City with Episodes 11 and 12 – “Let’s Make A Deal” and “The Chase”.  After that, our friends from 19 Nocturne Boulevard have a sweet story about blind dates and AIs in their tale entitled “A Date With Dana“.  Nothing overly-soppy tonight, but just enough for curling up with a good mug of hot chocolate, however you celebrate the day.

And don’t forget all the other things happening with audio drama outside our show!  We have the scriptwriting competitions being held by MisfitsAudio and the Marion Thauer Brown group (see the Events page for more details) as well as our auditions for MAT Productions starting this weekend.  All our information is finally up on the website (sorry for the delay, the traveling got to be a bit much this month), where you can find info on what’s happening with live auditions this weekend and how you can submit your audition via email over the next two weeks.  If you live in Columbus, OH or the nearby area, this is a great time to take part in a full audio-drama story production which will be aired on our show sometime in Summer/Fall of this year.  We hope to hear from you!

Episode 105 – Cheers, Minister!

560621_395795543787358_426573583_nGood evening, listeners!  We’re still on the road, doing some visiting across the pond this week.  Tonight’s episode is a singular feature: the final episode of The Minister of Chance series.  Here, in light of Lord Rathen’s disasterous attack, Kitty, the Minister and Cantha strike out to salvage the situation and put an end to the war once and for all. This is Episode 5: “In a Bark on the River Hex”.

And if you like “The Minister of Chance”, be sure to check out their website!  Not only can you find their full episodes for download, you can also read about their film-making efforts for this story!  It’s a really exciting project the group is pulling together, you’ll definitely want to check it out.  🙂

Wait wait wait, where are you going?  You didn’t think that was all, did you?

Well, okay, it was it for the episode (mostly).  But we do have some announcements we want make sure you didn’t miss.

– For everyone living in or near Columbus, Ohio, we will be holding local auditions once again for our productions of the scriptwriting competition we held last year, as well as a few locally-written tales we’re cooking up. If you want to come and audition for us in person, you may want to see if you can get a spot on the Actors’ Theatre of Columbus audition list – we’ll be sitting in with them on their auditions as actors audition for their 33rd Season of Shakespeare in the Park. That’s this coming weekend, February 15th and 16th.  Spaces are very limited right now, however, so if you can’t make it, need extra time or simply prefer to send your audition electronically, we will be accepting email submissions for up to two weeks afterwards. More details on submission materials coming ASAP – we’re hoping to have all the info up on our website by the end of the weekend.

– Don’t forget to check our Events Page – if you missed out on our scriptwriting competition, there’s two others going on right now looking for submissions – MisfitsAudio’s holiday script competition and the Marion Thauer Brown Audio Drama Scriptwriting Competition.  Both great contests with opportunity to show your creativity in the radio scriptwriting medium.  Also we have a small listing of live audio drama events happening across the country by different production groups, so be sure to check what’s going on in your area.

Keep your eyes peeled for that audition info, everyone!  We’ll do our best to have it up ASAP.

Episode 104 – Intentions Revealed

So tonight’s episode was a bit fun.  What you’re hearing in tonight’s audio is a full second take – the first time I (Cathy) apparently hosted to an empty room, because I failed to press the record button at the start.  I suppose that was a practice round…?
